SeaPak aims to boost engagement with new contest

SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co. aims to increase engagement with consumers – along with sales – via its new contest.

Inspired by Food Network’s competition show, “Chopped,” St. Simons Island, Georgia, U.S.A.-based SeaPak is sponsoring its own “Chopped At Home Challenge”.

Consumers are challenged to create a delicious, “quick and easy” original dish utilizing four specific ingredients. One of the must-use ingredients is SeaPak Shrimp Scampi.

Then, they can submit a dish, or multiple dishes, that take less than 45 minutes to prepare from start to finish. They can submit photos of their finished dishes, along with corresponding recipes, between 18 February and 13 April.

“The SeaPak Chopped At Home Challenge is as easy as shop, cook, and compete,” SeaPak Director of Marketing Kristen Beadon said in a press release. “It’s a unique opportunity for SeaPak lovers and fans of the beloved ‘Chopped’ series to unite and create new, unexpected flavors with shrimp.”

The grand prize winner of the "Chopped At Home Challenge” receives a cash prize of USD 5,000 (EUR 4,610) and one year of free SeaPak products.

To help inspire potential contestants, SeaPak is sharing cooking tips and ideas on SeaPak.com, as well as on its social media pages.
