UK seafood firm urges American consumers to try British

Young's Seafood Ltd. wants to shake up the U.S. freezer aisle with a range of British-inspired fish dishes being made available in nationwide stores. This is the first time American shoppers will have access to the U.K. seafood brand.

The arrival follows Young’s new distribution partnership with U.S.-based Fishin’ Company.

“We’re rolling out seven, British-inspired, delicious fish dishes that we believe are better than anything on the market today,” said Nick Munday, international director of Young’s Seafood. “With more fish, less salt, and less carbohydrates, we’re delivering something that’s been missing from the frozen fish aisles in the U.S. and we believe shoppers will be surprised when they taste the difference.”

The frozen range includes: Crispy Battered Cod Fillet and Chips, Wild Caught Cod Fillets in Beer Batter, Wild Caught Haddock Fillets in Crispy Batter, Flipper Dippers and Wild Caught Chunky Cod Sticks in Light Tempura Batter.

All items are priced below USD 7.00 (EUR 8.02) and are available from Walmart, Sam’s Club, Martin’s Foods, Stop and Shop, Giant, and Peapod.
