Young’s Seafood rolls out new shareable scampi bites

The latest consumption trends surrounding snacking and sharing have spurred Grimsby, United Kingdom-based supplier Young’s Seafood to develop its newest product – Young’s Popcorn Scampi Bites.

The new offering is meant to appeal to younger family demographics, who tend to enjoy the quick, convenient “popcorn” serving style that the product leverages, Young’s said. The new format scampi and whitefish bites are wrapped in the supplier’s signature breadcrumb coating and come in a large 300-gram pack size.

“We’re seeing growth in snacking and sharing formats across the category, particularly amongst a younger, family audience. Our Popcorn Scampi Bites introduces a new format that is perfect for flexible eating occasions – snacking, sharing and family together time,” said Yvonne Adam, the marketing director of Young’s Seafood.

Asda supermarkets will carry Young’s Popcorn Scampi Bites starting on 2 July for a MRSP of GBP 2.50 (USD 3.17, EUR 2.79).
