Americold, based in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., has hired Andrea Darweesh as executive vice president and chief human resources officer.
Americold is a provider of temperature-controlled warehousing and transportation, owning and operating more than 160 temperature-controlled warehouses in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, China, Argentina and Canada.
Darweesh will be responsible for all human resource policy implementation, motivating company culture, talent management and succession planning, compensation development, employee relations, and mentoring the human resources organization, according to Americold. Darweesh brings more than 20 years of executive-level human resources experience to Americold, having previously served in senior roles with Equifax, Nordstrom, and Coca Cola, and most recently serving as executive vice president and chief hr officer with The Weather Channel.
Darweesh graduated from Texas Tech University with a double major bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science, and she holds an MBA in organizational development from Emory University.
