Blue swimming crabmeat in cans, cups coming to Seafood Expo Asia

Seaprime Indonesia is following through on its goal of bringing more crabmeat to the Asian market, having recently established two new processing plants in Indonesia to help produce more of its canned and cup-packaged crabmeat products.

The plants will process Seaprime’s blue swimming crab, which is all wild-caught, said the company. All its crabmeat goes through a handpicked and sorting process at its processing facilities to ensure a virtually shell-free product that retains the crab’s original taste and texture, the company said.

"At Seaprime, our team are highly passionate and committed to producing the highest quality of crab meat and also other specialty crab products ensuring safety and overall health benefits for the well-being of our valuable customers” Seaprime founder Yoga Sadana said.

Seaprime’s crabmeat is mainly exported to countries such as the United States and Singapore; the company has its sights set on moving further into Asia in the future. Attendees of the upcoming Seafood Expo Asia event, held in Hong Kong from 6 to 8 September, can stop by Seaprime’s booth (No. 5-1023) to explore its product offerings.

Seaprime is an Indonesian incorporated company with three processing plants in Sumatra and Java. It holds HACCP and BRC Global standards for food safety certification.
