The inaugural Iceland Seafood Trade Show will be held at Kendall College in Chicago, Illinois, on 16 March.

Major vendors represented include HB Grandi, Icelandair Cargo, Ice-Co, IceMar, Iceland Seafood International and Stolt Sea Farm. The trade show is sponsored by The Consulate General of Iceland Trade and Investment Office, Promote Iceland and the Embassy of Iceland.

“These companies offer an array of fresh and frozen seafood products, including cod, haddock, Arctic char, sole, salmon, pollock, trout, whitefish, redfish, herring, mackerel, capelin roe…” the groups said in a brochure for the event.

Following the trade show, held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Geir H. Haarde, Iceland’s ambassador to the United States, is hosting a cocktail reception featuring a taste of Icelandic cuisine. The meal will be prepared by Nordic Chef of the Year and World Culinary Cup Winner Viktor Orn Andresson.
