Fusion cuisine trend inspires new seafood salad product

Taiwanese company Lian Ruey Enterprise Co. will reveal its new fusion cuisine product, Kuro Mirugai Salad, in Hong Kong during this year’s Seafood Expo Asia event, to be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center from 6 to 8 September.

The seafood salad creation features a smooth mix of squid and fish roe, which can be served in a cold dish, sushi, appetizer or even as a pizza topping, according to the company.

Lian Ruey is looking to capitalize on a growing trend in foodservice towards ingredients that lend themselves well to the versatility of fusion cuisine.

“As a result of apparent reduction of seafood ingredient, fusion cuisine is now a trend. Especially for cooks and restaurants, having an ingredient that can be used for all styles of cuisine is the best thing ever,” said the company in a release.

Lian Ruey Enterprise Co. and its new Kuro Mirugai Salad can be found at booth No. 5-1001 at the exposition in Hong Kong.
