New CEO named at US calamari producer The Town Dock

Ryan G. Clark has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of The Town Dock, a U.S. calamari producer based in Narragansett, Rhode Island.

The Town Dock supplies food service distributors, national restaurant chains and retailers, offering a full line of squid products and a wide variety of finfish. The 35-year-old company company is the largest purchaser of U.S. domestic East Coast squid.

Clark succeeds his father, Noah G. Clark, the company founder, who will continue as chairman of the board, according to a press release.

“It is with great pleasure that I’m making this transition to chairman of the board,” Founder Noah Clark said in the release. “Ryan truly has lifelong industry experience and knowledge of our company. The Town Dock is in very capable hands, and I am confident of Ryan’s ability to lead The Town Dock into the future. He has been preparing for his new role as my successor for several years, and now is the right time for him to take my place at the helm of the company.”

Ryan Clark has 21 years of experience working at The Town Dock, most recently serving as the company’s vice president. In that role, he oversaw the strategic direction of the company. Prior to his role as vice president, he worked as The Town Dock’s general manager, overseeing the company’s research and development, plant sanitation, quality assurance and operating budget.
