Preparing for SENA in 2016

The upcoming Seafood Expo North America & Seafood Processing North America event, coming to Boston in March 2016, will offer more business and networking opportunities as well as updates on the latest industry trends to attendees, said event organizer and SeafoodSource parent company Diversified Communications.

Formerly referred to as the International Boston Seafood Show & Seafood Processing America, Seafood Expo North America & Seafood Processing North America is North America’s largest seafood exposition. In its 36th year, the exposition is set to take place from 6-8 March and will allow for seafood buyers and suppliers to meet face-to-face with their counterparts and contacts to conduct business.

“It provides invaluable opportunities for seafood professionals to conduct business, network, see new industry trends and explore the latest in seafood products and technologies,” said Liz Plizga, Group Vice President for Diversified Communications, of the expo and its importance to global seafood professionals, particularly those looking to expand their business.

Last year’s expo brought more than 20,680 seafood professionals to Boston, and featured over 1,200 exhibitors of fresh, frozen and value-added products as well and processing and packaging equipment and services.

For 2016, the expo will host a comprehensive conference program that includes over 20 educational sessions presented by seafood industry experts at the top of their fields. Special events will also take place on the exhibit floor such as the New Product Showcase, Seafood Excellence Awards ceremony, a new Featured Products Showcase and the 10th annual Oyster Shucking Competition. SeafoodSource.com will serve as the official media for the event.
