Salmon farmer wins Scottish export award

Scottish salmon farming business Loch Duart was named “Exporter of the Year” at the 2019 Made in Scotland Awards.

Based in Sutherland and the Uists, Loch Duart exports around 70 percent of its salmon to more than 20 countries. The company, which has been farming salmon for 20 years has seen its export sales increase by 68 percent over the past two financial years to an all-time high for the business.
