Southstream Seafoods, a Rhode Island, U.S.A.-based seafood importer and distributor under its Frostmark brand, has announced the hiring of two sales representatives.
Kathy Karousos Gillet will focus on distributor, restaurant chain and retail customer growth in the Northeast U.S., while George Rooney will return to Southstream, who he worked previously, as wholesale seafood account executive.
Gillet has more than 30 years of experience working in restaurants and hotels, including experience in cooking professionally. At Southstream, in addition to her sales responsibilities, Gillet, who is the daughter of master chef George Karousos, will work with chefs to introduce new product lines for menu ideas, according to the company.
Rooney, a Rhode Island native, has worked in the hospitality, supermarket, and sales industries in California, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Most recently, Rooney owned and managed, also serving as its main buyer of food product.
