Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.-based pet supplement company Vital Pet Life has expanded its salmon oil products to Walmart stores and online.
Vital Pet Life launched “Only Salmon Oil for Dogs & Cats” in Walmart stores after Molde, Norway-based independent verification company ORIVO confirmed its origin, according to a release by ORIVO. The verification company added that this expansion represents a milestone for “bringing science-based verification to large scale retail.” The product is a single-ingredient omega-3 supplement that both dogs and cats can take daily.
“Verification at retail is a critical step for improving transparency in marine oil supplements,” ORIVO Co-Founder and CEO Svein Erik Haugmo said. “By bringing independently verified products into large-scale retail environments like Walmart, we are helping make trusted information more accessible to consumers.”
ORIVO added that demand for clear sourcing claims and simple formulas are trending for consumers, highlighting the strength of independent verification companies when building trust with customers.
