Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods (COSFF) has hired Angel Rubio, formerly the analytics director for Urner Barry Publications, as its senior category manager for crab meat.
Rubio’s new responsibilities include planning and managing COSFF’s crab meat business in line with the company’s growth objectives. He will report to COSFF Vice President Category Management Rob Kragh, who oversees the company’s crab meat and lobster categories.
“Angel brings an understanding of the complex supply chain and market, and fresh approach to this important business,” Kragh said.
COSFF, a part of the Thai Union Group, is North America’s top importer of pasteurized crab meat. The company has a fully traceable crab meat operation with nine production facilities in Southeast Asia.
Rubio, who will be based in Long Island, New York, U.S.A., is a graduate of Villanova University, where he majored in economics and international business.
