Boston, Massachusetts-based processor and distributor Great Eastern Seafood is celebrating its 35th year in business.
To mark the anniversary, Great Eastern Seafood will be making a return to exhibiting at Seafood Expo North America in Boston, 19 to 21 March. This will be the first time in 25 years that Great Eastern Seafood will be exhibiting.
The processor, a top producer of North Atlantic groundfish and flatfish, can be found at SENA17 at Booth #2781.
“We’re very excited to be participating in the show again and even more excited to showcase our incredible in-depth portfolio of seafood products to buyers from around the world,” said Robby Brandano, vice president of operations for Great Eastern.
“Over the last 35, Great Eastern Seafood has not only remained strong throughout many economic ups and downs, but we’ve grown the business and now serve over 170 customers across North America,” Great Eastern Seafood CEO Doug Nucatola said. “First, our expertise at delivering top quality, responsibly sourced and sustainable fresh fish is paramount in our success. Second is our employee’s hard work and dedication to providing superior customer service which has enabled us to attract and retain hundreds of loyal customers.”
In addition, Great Eastern Seafood holds a seat on all three New England fresh fish daily auctions in Gloucester, Massachusetts; New Bedford, Massachusetts; and Portland, Maine.
“Buying from these auctions and directly from fishing vessels provides Great Eastern Seafood with the first pick of the very best fish available on a daily basis for their customers,” the company said in a statement.
At the completion of each auction, Great Eastern Seafood’s purchases are immediately packed and trucked directly to its Boston facility and then shipped to customers across North America.
