Premium sushi concept brings finger food to the next level

Aji Foods BV will be showcasing its fully-patented, premium sushi concept at the 2016 Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global event, held in Brussels, Belgium this week from 26 to 28 April.

The concept, called Crushi, combines a crispy, fried exterior with a core reminiscent of a freshly prepared sushi roll. The product can be stored in the freezer, and lasts for up to a year in such conditions. According to Aji Foods, it offers an innovative, low-calorie alternative to traditional finger food.

Each Crushi package comes complete with 10 rolls, 135 grams a piece; the individual rolls can be cut into five equal portions. Flavor varieties include the California Crushi, which consists of surimi, wakame and Japanese omelette. Aji Foods plans to roll out more flavors soon.

It’s an ideal product for foodservice operations and endeavors including festivals, beach tent events and other catered parties and happenings, said the company.
