John Petersdorf was hired as VP and GM of Port Clyde Lobster and its adjunct companies, including Port Clyde Shrimp, the Port Clyde, Maine, company announced Monday.
Petersdorf has more than 14 years of industry experience, including the GM role at Atwood Lobster Co. in Spruce Head, Maine.
"John will be a great asset to my companies, particularly now that I have been fortunate to link up with Peter Jones, owner of Harbored Lobster Co., a major Vinalhaven source of lobster," said Linda Bean, Port Clyde owner, in a press release.
Bean estimates that this season the company will broker 10 percent of the lobster resource for Knox County, which produces one of the largest lobster landings in the state.
