Anglesey Aquaculture, the United Kingdom’s only sea bass producer, is calling its debut at the International Boston Seafood Show a “phenomenal success.”
The company said interest in its sea bass — produced exclusively at its recirculation fish farm in Anglesey, North Wales — has been building beyond its core market of Europe, which led it to exhibit in Boston.
“Mediterranean sea bass is becoming more and more popular in North America, and we were overwhelmed by the number of buyers who expressed keen interest in our product. They all wanted to hear our story — about our highly sophisticated product techniques, our sustainability drives and our environmental commitments,” said Anglesey’s Kenny Woods. “They were also fascinated by our unique location in North Wales. I believe we made a lot of important new friends.”
Anglesey will also be exhibiting at the European Seafood Exposition in Brussels in late April.
