Godaco Seafood is one of the first companies in the Ben Tre province to apply for Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification for its fish farm.
The firm is applying for sustainability certification for its 10 hectares of pangasius farming operations. Godaco is one of the largest-scale fish processors in the province, with fish farms on a total area of more than 120 hectares.
According to Godaco, ASC auditors have taken final assessments of the farm to grant the company certification. Godaco plans to get ASC certification for its other farms as well.
Vinh Hoan was the first Vietnam pangasius company to net ASC certification in September of this year.
