Faroese salmon producer Bakkafrost Group harvested 11,600 metric tons (MT) of gutted weight fish in the third-quarter of this year, up from 10,664 MT in the corresponding period of 2016.
The contribution to the total from the company’s farming operations in the north of the Faroes amounted to 1,700 MT, while its farms in the west supplied 9,900MT.
Bakkafrost’s total expected harvest volume for 2017 is 53,500 MT.
It also sold 22,300 MT of feed in the last quarter.
