Rainbow trout producer Clear Springs Foods will create a separate retail sales division to accommodate increased rainbow trout production.

The Buhl, Idaho, company’s domestic production has increased 30 percent within the past three years due to farm acquisition and production efficiencies. Clear Springs also has a 14-year strategic partnership with a rainbow trout producer in Chile.

The new realignment will mean Clear Springs will now service foodservice and retail customers separately, whereas previously, Regional Sales Managers serviced both retail and foodservice accounts within a given sales region.

According to Don Riffle, VP-sales and marketing, the investment in new personnel will ensure a continuation of excellent customer service while allowing Clear Springs to achieve aggressive sales goals and better serve the unique needs of foodservice and retail customers.
