Cull ordered after ISA found at Canada salmon farm

As many as a half million fish at a salmon farm on the south coast of Newfoundland will be killed, according to a local media report.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) began investigating a possible case of infectious salmon anemia (ISA) at the Gray Aqua site in Hermitage Bay, on the south coast of Newfoundland, late last month.

Thursday, the CFIA reportedly ordered a cull of the fish at the Gray Aqua site after tests came back positive.
