Elsevier, Novus announce aquaculture conference

Information product producer Elsevier and animal nutrition company Novus International have produced an aquaculture conference, scheduled for 3-7 November 2013 in Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands off the coast of Spain.

The conference will in part celebrate 40 years of Elseveier’s journal Aquaculture, and look ahead to challenges in aquaculture research.

The collaboration between Elsevier and Novus will include a microsite which will host an online version of the conference.

"Aquaculture is poised to become the leading process to provide sustainable food for mankind,” said Francisco Gomes, executive manager of Novus’ business unit. “We are pleased to be part of this forum, a kindred spirit and we hope that all scientists present can challenge, contribute and benefit from the Novus-Elsevier collaboration."

Novus will also produce a webinar, “Delivery of practical, holistic aquaculture health and nutrition solutions,” on 24 October, as a pre-conference event.
