Fusion Marine secures new orders from Cooke Aquaculture Scotland

Cooke Aquaculture has contracted with a Scottish fish farm equipment supplier to help upgrade the company’s farm sites in Orkney and Shetland, U.K.

Cooke is ordering more than GBP 1.25 million (USD 1.9 million, EUR 1.7 million) from Fusion Marine, according to a statement from the company.

“Secure containment is our highest priority and these pens have been ordered with this very much in mind,” said Colin Blair, managing director of Cooke Aquaculture Scotland.

Blair said he and Cooke were pleased to be using a Scottish company, and hoped to continue to support local business, something Fusion’s Iain Forbes said his company appreciated.

“This order from Cooke Aquaculture underlines our close working relationship with the Scottish aquaculture sector and will help support local jobs by creating business for a number of downstream suppliers,” Blair said.
