Gael Force announces contract with Scottish Salmon Company

Edinburgh-based Scottish Salmon Company has signed a contract making Gael Force Group its preferred supplier of consumables to its farms and processing sites.

Scottish Salmon Company is produces sea loch fresh Scottish salmon at 60 sites along the west coast of Scotland. Inverness-based Gael Force Group is a supplier of equipment and technology to the Scottish aquaculture industry.

“We are committed to using local suppliers wherever possible – it is a core part of our strategy for long-term sustainable growth,” Scottish Salmon Company Managing Director Craig Anderson said. “Our new arrangement with Gael Force demonstrates this and will assist in driving efficiencies throughout the business.”

In a press release, Gael Force said it will add to its current staffl of nine to meet the requirements of the new contract.

“The added consumables contract fits well with our current development plan within the group’s focus on the aquaculture business,” Gael Force group managing director Stewart Graham said. “It’s another step forward for Gael Force becoming an end-to-end supplier of equipment and technology to the Scottish aquaculture markets.”
