Minister: We’re on top of ISA outbreak

The Honourable Darin King, the provincial Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture said that the department’s team of experts, led by Dr. Daryl Whelan, are doing a tremendous job of keeping on top of the Infectious Salmon Anemia (ISA) case that was recently confirmed on a Gray Aquaculture farm site in the St. Alban’s area.

Minister King said that there are several key points that he would like to get out to the general public considering the serious issue.

“First of all I’d like to remind everyone that ISA poses no health threat to humans as it’s an issue that has to do with fish only,” Minister King said.
