Salmon farmer Loch Duart unveils new website

Scottish salmon farmer Loch Duart has unveiled a new website that accommodates the modern needs of the Internet, and includes a promotional video about the company.

The new site, according to Nick Joy, the company’s managing director, the new site will be better at accommodating mobile devices and other current demands of the Internet that have emerged since the site first went online in the 1990s.

“For those of us who grew up without computers it seems amazing that it is required but now our website can be viewed on computer, tablet and smartphone,” Joy said. “It still tells the full story of our approach to salmon farming — but does so with the added dimension of a video shot at our Sutherland sites last summer which takes the viewer underwater to meet the fish we farm.”

While the site is new, Joy said the company itself hasn’t changed.

“We are still a small, independent Scottish salmon farm but we want people to be able to access and understand what matters to us,” Joy said. “Our production may be limited but our message is not.”
