Brian Perkins exits role as CEO of Global Seafood Alliance

Former GSA CEO Brian Perkins

The Global Seafood Alliance announced on 31 March that Brian Perkins is no longer the organization's chief executive officer.

Perkins was selected as the replacement for former GSA CEO Wally Stevens in 2022, a year into the organization’s transition from its former structure as the Global Aquaculture Alliance into the Global Seafood Alliance. Stevens will now step in as acting GSA CEO until a replacement is found, GSA announced.

Prior to his role as CEO, Perkins served as the organizations chief operating officer, a role that it said was created with the intent of transitioning into the CEO position upon Stevens' retirement. Prior to his role as COO, Perkins served as the Marine Stewardship Council's Americas director.

The GSA said that more details on Perkins departure will be “forthcoming.”
