– Boston, Massachusetts-based aquaculture technology firm Innovasea has named Amy Brookman as its new general manager of fish tracking.

Brookman has moved from her vice president of sales role at the firm to the general manager position following the promotion of Mark Jollymore from general manager to CEO.

Brookman has been with the company for just over 15 years. She was a product manager for over six years and then moved to the director of product management role in 2017. She remained there until another promotion to the vice president of sales role.

“Amy’s deep market insight and strong leadership experience uniquely position her to strengthen our offerings and drive our next phase of growth,” Jollymore said. “Through her leadership, we are well-suited to accelerate innovation and continue to redefine what’s possible in acoustic telemetry.”

Working in the company’s Halifax, Nova Scotia, office, Brookman will oversee all aspects of Innovasea’s fish-tracking operations, the company said in a release.

“This includes its advanced acoustic telemetry solutions, led by the flagship NexTrak system, as well as its AI-powered fish counting technology for hydropower sites, HydroAI,” the company said.

“Our mission is to deliver a complete solution that empowers researchers to advance their work,” Brookman said. “Our fish tracking unit has an incredibly rich history, and I feel privileged to be building upon this by leading and working alongside such a great team.”

–  Fortune International, the parent company of seafood firm Boston Sword & Tuna (BST), has announced that Larry Dore, a longtime partner at BST, is stepping back from daily operational responsibilities.

Dore has served as a partner to BST since October 2012 and has over three decades of experience in the seafood industry prior to that. The leadership change is a part of a long-term, strategic succession plan developed in 2023 after the company was acquired, according to a Fortune release. Dore will remain “actively engaged” in procurement and sales.

Dore’s contributions as a partner with BST have been “instrumental in shaping the company’s success,” especially when it comes to integrity, quality, and company growth, Fortune said.

“His legacy will continue through his ongoing involvement and through future generations of the Dore family who remain committed to the company’s mission,” the release said.

In tandem with the move, David Bluhm has been promoted to BST market vice president after working with the company for the past year. Prior to his year at BST, Bluhm was the strategic sourcing manager for Slade Gorton from August 2022 to December 2024. His career started with his family’s company, Channel Fish Processing (CFP), where he worked for almost 20 years. There, he was tasked with production, sales, purchasing, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.

“Larry’s leadership and dedication have been invaluable to Boston Sword & Tuna, and we are grateful that he will continue to share his expertise,” Fortune International CEO Sean O’Scannlain said. “We are equally excited to welcome David into his new role. His experience and vision will help drive our mission forward as we continue to grow in Boston and beyond.”

–  The Seafood Task Force (STF), a U.S.-based nonprofit trade association representing major retailers, brands, foodservice companies, and supply chain partners, has appointed Stuart Green to a senior consultant role.

According to a release by the company, Green is “a globally recognized marine scientist and seafood systems strategist with more than three decades of experience across wild capture fisheries and aquaculture.”

His role as senior consultant will aid the development of STF’s strategic framework and “2030 Roadmap,” which includes a seven-point plan.

“We are delighted to welcome Stuart to the Seafood Task Force,” STF Executive Director Martin Thurley said. “His deep expertise in fisheries governance, traceability, and market-based solutions, combined with his expert understanding of both wild capture and aquaculture systems will be invaluable to our members. Stuart brings hands-on experience that aligns perfectly with our mission to drive supply chain oversight at scale.”

Green’s prior work experience includes board roles with the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). He’s also held senior roles with the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the Walton Family Foundation.

“I am excited to join the Seafood Task Force at this critical time for the seafood industry,” Green said. “The STF's collaborative, pre-competitive approach represents exactly the kind of systems-level thinking needed to address the interconnected challenges of traceability, human rights, and environmental sustainability. I look forward to supporting the members in their journey toward fully transparent and responsible supply chains."
