Panos Brands acquires Santa Barbara Smokehouse

Rochelle Park, New Jersey, U.S.A.-based Panos Brands has acquired Santa Barbara Smokehouse from founder and managing partner Tim Brown. 

Terms of the acquisition, which was revealed 15 May, were not disclosed.

"Having built The Santa Barbara Smokehouse with a singular focus on producing the highest-quality smoked salmon, I'm excited for Panos to expand the reach of these products to fuel consumer interest in high-quality smoked salmon," Brown said in a press release.

Santa Barbara Smokehouse operates a 15,000-square-foot facility built in 2004 in Santa Barbara, California, U.S.A. It produces the Cambridge House and Coastal Harbor brands of smoked salmon, sold into both foodservice and retail channels.

Panos Brands is a consumer packaged goods company focused on specialty foods and beverage brands. It operates the Walden Farms, Kame, Tessemae’s, Sesmark, Chatfield’s, Amore, Andrew & Everett, Tessemae’s, and Mi-Del brands of consumer foods.

In 2016, Panos Brands was acquired by Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company (HKW), which invests in the middle market, targeting basic industrial manufacturing, distribution, and business services companies.
