OBI Seafoods, Silver Bay Seafoods, and Trident Seafoods will split a USD 4.5 million (USD 4.2 million) contract to supply canned salmon to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's domestic food assistance and child nutrition programs for the 2023 fiscal year.
Silver Bay Seafoods won the bulk of the contract, which calls for the delivery of 74,480 cases of 24, 14.75-ounce cans of wild pink salmon.
Silver Bay will supply 59,280 cans in exchange for USD 3.55 million (EUR 3.33 million). OBI Seafoods will supply 12,160 cans for USD 759,000 (EUR 711,000), and Trident Seafoods will parlay 3,040 cans into USD 184,000 (EUR 173,000).
The contract was dated 2 March, 2023, and deliveries will be made between 16 April and 30 August, 2023.
