Americans pick Gorton’s as one of their most trusted brands

Gorton’s is one of the most trusted brands by Americans, according to a new survey.

Gorton’s earned the “Most Trusted Award” in the frozen fish category, according to market research firm BrandSpark International’s BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards. 

"Gorton’s has been a trusted brand in frozen seafood for a very long time, constantly innovating and evolving to meet consumers’ needs. Trust is fundamental to who we are and what we do every day to delight our consumers,” Chris Hussey, vice president of marketing for the Gloucester, Massachusetts-based supplier, told SeaofodSource. “It is so important that it has long been part of one of our most valued and recognized equities, the Gorton’s jingle: ‘Trust the Gorton’s Fisherman …’.”

BrandSpark compiled opinions and insights from more than 12,800 consumers for its nationwide U.S. survey. Voters provided 61,000 top-of-mind opinions to identify which brands Americans trust most in 118 categories in which consumers are regularly faced with purchasing decisions.

"With just one in two shoppers loyal to recognizable name brands, marketers must remind shoppers of the trust and value of their brand in order to retain that loyalty," said Robert Levy, president and CEO of BrandSpark International, in a press release. “The Most Trusted Award seal allows brands to clearly communicate the significant trust and connection they have fostered with shoppers over time.”
