Genova giving away tuna meal kits created by celebrity chef
Genova Premium Tuna, a Chicken of the Sea International brand, is giving away tuna meal kits on its website to celebrate Mediterranean Diet Month.
Genova teamed up with Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, restaurant owner and star of The Food Network’s “Iron Chef,” to create the Genova Premium Tuna Pasta Salad with Arugula Pesto and Dates meal kit.
The kits are complimentary on Genova’s website – including free shipping – on a first come, first serve basis.
“By partnering with Chef Zakarian and making our meal kits available online for free, consumers will be able to bring Mediterranean flair to their dinner tables without jet setting around the world,” Chicken of the Sea International Senior Marketing Manager Adriana Montano told SeafoodSource.
Even though travel is still limited due to COVID-19, Montano said the company wanted to give consumers the opportunity to experience different cuisines.
“With many travel plans being scrapped due to the pandemic, and more people turning to food to help them explore new cultures, we thought it was a great opportunity to create a complimentary meal kit to transport home cooks to the shores of Spain, the coasts of Italy, and the beaches of Greece – right from their very own kitchens,” Montano said.
Genova is receiving a “great response” to the kits.
“While we don’t have immediate plans to release more meal kits, we love receiving feedback from loyal Genova fans and excited to see these positive responses,” Montano said.
For consumer those who were not able to receive a meal kit, the Genova Premium Tuna Pasta Salad with Arugula Pesto & Dates recipe is available on its website.
