Joey's Launches Online Maritime Festival

Joey's Only Seafood Restaurants will kick off this year's Maritime Festival on Oct. 13, featuring a national online consumer contest and new menu items, the Calgary-based quickservice seafood chain announced today.

Winners of the contest, selected from British Columbia/Alberta, Saskatchewan/Manitoba and Ontario, will receive one of three week-long trips for two to Atlantic Canada. The trips include flights into Montreal and out of Halifax, an overnight ride on VIA Rail's Ocean Train with sleeping accommodations and a guided tour through New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The contest runs through Nov. 30.

The restaurant's east coast-inspired menu items will be available throughout the contest and include Lobster Bisque, Stuffed Salmon, Shrimp Scampi, Classic Cod and Chips and Bluenose Spicy Mussels.

The contest is being promoted through 30-second radio spots across Canada and banner ads on www.canada.com, among other marketing campaigns.
