Joey's Only Kicks Off Alzheimer's Fundraiser

Joey's Only Seafood Restaurants this month is conducting its annual fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Society of Canada: Joey's customers who make a $1 contribution to the organization will receive a $1 coupon for any Joey's entrée.

Customers will also receive a yellow "Fat Fish" cutout on which they sign their name and display on the walls of Joey's restaurants.

Since 1999, Joey's has raised more than $800,000 in the battle against Alzheimer's disease. During last September's fundraiser, the fast-casual seafood chain raised more than $21,000.

"This month-long campaign is one of our biggest fundraisers for the Alzheimer Society, and Joey's is committed both locally and nationally in the communities in which we operate," says Kathy Campitelli, the company's VP of marketing. "We hope there will be a sea of yellow Fat Fishes in all of our restaurants by the end of September."

Joey's operates more than 100 restaurants in Canada and the United States.
