Meal delivery service Sun Basket is launching a line of ready-to-heat meals that feature shrimp and other seafood across the United States.
The San Francisco, California-based company said in a press release its Fresh & Ready line require no preparation and can be made in as little as six minutes.
Served on oven-proof, wooden trays, the fresh meals are created by award-winning chefs, and feature in-season ingredients.
Recipes include pappardelle with wilted spinach, sweet peas, and fresh ricotta; shrimp paella with fire-roasted tomatoes and bell pepper; and Southwestern turkey and sweet potato skillet.
Available as part of Sun Basket's weekly meal plan, the meals start at USD 10.99 (EUR 9.26) per serving.
"The launch of Fresh & Ready meals further emphasizes our commitment to offering healthy, high-quality options for those looking to maintain a balanced diet even on their busiest days,” Sun Basket CEO Don Barnett said. “Now more than ever, Americans are looking for an alternative to cooking seven days a week, and this extension is our fastest meal option to date.”
Sun Basket also added more “convenient mealtime solutions” options, such as its Pre-Prepped Meals, which come with chef-prepared sides and sauces.
Sun Basket uses only antibiotic-free and hormone-free proteins and organic, fresh produce in all its meals, it said.
