Pacific Seafood lands Pac-12 partnership

Pacific Seafood has won a multi-year partnership with the Pac-12 Conference, and it will now serve as the official meat and seafood provider of the conference.

Pac-12 is comprised of 12 leading United States universities on the West Coast.

Starting with the 2020 season, Pacific Seafood is an official partner of the 2020 Pac-12 Football Championship Game, presented by 76, as well as the 2021 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life.

In addition to the marketing and publicity benefits Pacific obtains, the new partnership gives the supplier “the opportunity to be part of every bid process for all of their food buying [for each university],” Bill Hueffner, vice president of marketing and development for Pacific Seafood, told SeafoodSource.

“As a preferred supplier, it gives us a better opportunity to be the successful bidder in those processes,” Hueffner added.

Pacific Seafood will also serve as official partner of Pac-12 Team Green, the conference’s sustainability platform.

“We will provide the protein during those meals and events,” Hueffner said.

Pacific Seafood will receive event signage rights to the Pac-12 Football Championship Game and Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament, as well as marketing rights across Pac-12 Networks digital platforms.

“We are also looking for opportunities with our retail partners to see where we can leverage them [in the Pac-12 marketing] as well,” Hueffner said.
