Red Lobster features new lobster, shrimp dishes for Summerfest

Red Lobster, which operates more than 700 locations in the United States and Canada, is launching new lobster and shrimp dishes as part of its Lobster and Shrimp Summerfest promotion.

New dishes for this year’s Summerfest include Cedar-Plank Seafood Bake, which includes jumbo shrimp and petite Maine lobster tails with garlic and Red Lobster's signature Chesapeake seasoning, roasted on a cedar plank with smoked sausage.

Red Lobster also added Caribbean Lobster and Shrimp, which is grilled rock lobster tail topped with a coconut beurre blanc and pineapple relish, paired with Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp. Langostino Lobster-and-Shrimp Zoodle Pasta is the new pasta dish for the promotion. The langostino lobster and shrimp are tossed in a lemon and roasted garlic sauce with linguini and spiralized zucchini, as well as fresh tomatoes and basil.

"This menu embraces everything there is to love about summer," said Dustin Hilinski, executive chef and director of culinary at Red Lobster. "We've paired fresh, vibrant flavors – like coconut, pineapple, and lemon – with perfectly prepared lobster and shrimp to give our guests the ultimate summertime seafood dining experience."

Red Lobster is bringing back Lobster and Shrimp Overboard for the promotion. The dish includes a grilled Maine lobster tail, garlic-grilled jumbo shrimp skewer, Langostino Lobster-and-Shrimp Zoodle Pasta, and hand-battered jumbo shrimp.

The seafood restaurant chain also recently added Tuna Poke to its Tasting Plates menu. The dish features sushi-grade ahi tuna in a soy-sesame marinade, topped with green onions and served with tortilla chips.
