Captain D’s owner could be looking to hook a buyer for the Donelson-based seafood restaurant chain.
Private-equity firm Sun Capital Partners Inc. is preparing to put the chain up for sale and has retained San Francisco investment bank North Point Advisors to handle the process, Dow Jones reported. It cited two unidentified people reportedly familiar with the situation.
Industry observers say a potential sale isn’t surprising, given Florida-based Sun Capital’s track record.
