Salmon smoker strikes deal with Harrods
The oldest commercial producer of traditional Scottish smoked salmon on Thursday announced that it is launching its product at Harrods, the famed high-end department store located in London’s Knightsbridge section.
John Ross Jr. salmon smokehouse will sell nine luxury smoked-salmon products in the Food Halls at Harrods beginning this month.
Each of the products has been smoked over oak and beech chippings for up to 24 hours. The range includes the recently launched Balmoral Fillet, a sliced side of traditional smoked salmon, Balvenie Whiskey smoked salmon and a smoked salmon pate.
“Harrods decision to sell John Ross Jr. smoked salmon is testament to the quality of our product and recognition of our authentic approach to producing world-class food,” said Vicky Leigh, John Ross Jr.’s sales director. “Harrods is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated stores and we are delighted to be associated with such a prestigious brand.”
