The Saucy Fish Co., based out of the United Kingdom, has expanded its new frozen fishcakes range with new flavors.
The range, which will be featured starting in September at The Food Warehouse by Iceland in the United Kingdom, now includes Salmon Fishcakes with a Cracking Lemon Centre and Cod Fishcakes with a Smashing Cheddar and Parsley Centre. The two new flavors are available in a family friendly four-pack, alongside Smoked Haddock Fishcakes with a Delicious Vintage Cheddar Centre.
“After roaring success with previous activity at The Food Warehouse by Iceland, Saucy is excited to return with not only new flavors but a new four-pack product that we expect to fly off the shelves of the frozen aisle,” said Amanda Webb, sales and marketing director for Saucy Fish, in a press release.
The new four-pack is intended to bring families together at mealtimes, and be ready in less than 30 minutes, Webb added.
A marketing campaign to support the listing at The Food Warehouse stores will begin at the start of September and include local radio partnerships, print and online partnerships with local newspapers, and a geo-targeted paid media campaign. The Saucy Fish Co.’s will also run adds on its social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
Saucy competes against Grimsby, U.K.-based Young’s Seafood, which has several “Melting Middle” fishcakes flavors in its portfolio, including: Chunky Salmon with a classic lemon hollandaise and Chunky Cod with a creamy rocket Mornay sauce. Young’s three new flavors of fish bakes include: Spicy Tomato, Cheese & Leek, and Broccoli Mornay.
