U.S. canned and pouched tuna company StarKist has announced a new line of tuna pouches featuring diced vegetables and a series of new flavors.
The company, a Pittsburgh, Pa.-based subsidiary of Korea-based Dongwon Group, is teaming up with TV and radio show chef Ryan Scott to promote the new products.
The products, sold under the new brand name StarKist Gourmet Selects, come in three flavors: Mexican style tuna, with diced jalapenos and sunflower oil; Mediterranean style tuna with chopped sundried tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil; and Thai style tuna with diced chili peppers and sunflower oil.
The products will retail for approximately USD 1.69 (EUR 1.48) each, and are available in the United States in grocery stores nationwide.
