The Fresh Market is rolling out several new “market meal kits,” including some seafood options, and Tampa, Florida, U.S.A.-based seafood restaurant chain Bonefish Grill is also promoting its catering and seafood meals as parents across the U.S. prepare for the start of the school year.
The Fresh Market is a Greensboro, North Carolina, U.S.A.-based operator of 160 grocery stores.
“With the start of the school year and the transition into the fall season, families are often faced with the challenge of juggling multiple responsibilities. That’s why The Fresh Market is excited to announce the launch of several new easy meal solutions,” it said in a press release.
One of the six new meal kits, which include a complete meal that can be ready in 20 minutes and feed two people, is miso ginger trout.
“A staple in Japanese cuisine, miso serves as the inspiration for the savory-sweet sauce that’s a delicious match for The Fresh Market’s rainbow trout,” the company said.
Other market meal kits include chicken parmesan, madeira steak, spicy pork bulgogi rice bowl, and chicken alfredo.
“In addition, we are always rotating out different seafood options for our Little Big Meal deals. We really pride ourselves on our fresh seafood and meat department,” a spokesperson for The Fresh Market told SeafoodSource in April.
The Fresh Market touts other weekly specials on fresh seafood and prepared seafood items, including crab cakes and marinated fish portions.
For the weekend of 19 August, the retailer ran specials on snow crab leg clusters for USD 14.99 (EUR 13.78) per pound, wild North Atlantic lobster tails for USD 11.99 (EUR 11.00) each, ultimate lump crab cakes at two for USD 12.00 (EUR 11.00), whole Atlantic salmon for USD 8.99 (EUR 8.27) per pound, and USD 9.99 (EUR 9.18) a pound for wild Florida shrimp.
Separately, Bonefish Grill is promoting seafood in its catering and family bundle meals for curbside pickup.
“With the busy back to school season, you have less time to focus on feeding your family, team or group,” the company said in an email to customers. “Bonefish Grill can take care of that for you.”
The restaurant chain’s catering menu includes entrees such as grilled shrimp and Atlantic salmon, and bang bang shrimp tacos, while appetizers include bang bang shrimp and ahi tuna sashimi.
