As part of a larger recall of packaged egg salad and tuna salad due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, The Fresh Market is recalling its Thai Lobster Salad product.
Elevation Foods in Framingham, Massachusetts, U.S.A., issued a voluntary recall of Archer Farms-brand salad medleys: Freskëtbrand egg salad, tuna salad, and Thai Lobster Salad, all produced on 18 June.
Fewer than 1,087 cases of product have been directly shipped to retailer warehouses throughout the U.S., according to Elevation, and the supplier is “working with distributors and retailers to quarantine and recover any impacted product remaining on store shelves,” it said in the recall notice.
Greensboro, North Carolina, U.S.A.-based The Fresh Market said the recalled Thai Lobster Salad is sold by the pound in its self-serve seafood salad bar and pre-packaged in its seafood display case as House of Thaller Thai Lobster Salad.
“No illnesses have been reported to date, and no other foods sold at The Fresh Market are impacted. All of the potentially affected product has been removed from our stores and destroyed,” the retailer said in a press release.
Consumers who purchased the Thai Lobster Salad should discard it. “Please bring your receipt from the purchase of this product to any The Fresh Market location for a full refund. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience,” the retailer said.
