Prices for Atlantic salmon from Norway remained relatively flat in Week 37 (7 September to 14 September), with different data sources producing slightly, but not meaningfully, different directional trends week over week (WoW).
The SeafoodSource Pricing Portal, which aggregates data on Norwegian salmon from the Norwegian Seafood Council, reflects shipping costs and processing losses globally, and thus generally produces higher average export prices for the category.
Sitagri Salmon Index, a benchmarking firm which produces average export prices in FCA Oslo from prices shared by Norwegian producers to their European clients, does not reflect these added costs, and thus generally trends slightly lower.
