Maritech launching new solution to streamline seafood procurement and sales
Maritech, a Norwegian traceability and business software developer, is launching the latest addition to its DigitalSeafood portfolio on 2 April: DGS Purchase and Sales.
A native cloud application, the DGS solution streamlines seafood procurement and sales from any device and location, Maritech said. Users of the software will be able to automate the purchase and sales process with margin efficient, box-level tracking and pricing, the company explained, with minimal manual entry required.
DGS Purchase and Sales works to ensure full traceability from vessel to farm unit, and possesses “all the functionality needed to purchase, hold, and sell seafood at a box level,” according to Maritech. The software also features a set of Power BI reports designed to improve seafood providers’ efficiency and margins.
“Our experience is that most seafood companies still carry out unnecessary manual processes and have untapped potential for automation,” Maritech North America Managing Director Blair Shelton said. “The consequence is less efficiency and control, and both time and motivation are wasted performing repetitive tasks.
