U.S. barramundi farmer Australis Aquaculture today announced the appointment of Marvyn Kitay of Australian financial advisory firm WHK Horwath as its voluntary administrator.
The appointment comes after the Turner Falls, Mass., company has had difficulty raising sufficient funds to meet its objectives and will allow the board of directors and management to continue assessing funding options.
Managing Director Josh Goldman says Australis’ management and employees are totally focused on maintaining the continuity of growing operations and providing uninterrupted supply and service to its customers as the company restructures.
