Maine-based seafood processor and distributor Bristol Seafood has hired Jimmy Davolio as its new vice president of sales in a move to further develop the company’s expanding portfolio for both regional and national accounts.
Davolio comes to the role with significant food industry experience, having served in a similar capacity during his time with Celebration Foods and Wise Foods.
“I am excited to become a member of the Bristol team. Our premium quality products and high ethical standards put us in a tremendous position to add value to customers in all segments,” Davolio said.
Bristol President and CEO Peter Handy expressed enthusiasm for the company’s latest addition to its executive team.
“Jimmy brings a wealth of experience and his appointment is a sign of our continued commitment to being a leader in our industry. I look forward to working with him to share our uncompromising Maine standards with more consumers,” he said.
As Davolio is welcomed aboard, Darrell Pardy, the company's co-founder and former president and CEO, will step down from his current position as senior vice president of sales. Davolio will take on many of Pardy's former duties in the sales position, and according to Pardy, Davolio’s leadership acumen and business values make him a great fit for Bristol.

Bristol was founded in 1992 by Pardy and Ray Swenton, both of whom remain shareholders and members of the company's board of directors (Swenton remains chairman). In 2015, Bristol shipped more than 6 million pounds of seafood out of its facility located on the Portland, Maine fish pier, including scallops, long-line caught Norwegian haddock, Alaskan cod and wild Maine mussels.
