Chinese province paying seafood firms’ way to 2018 Seafood Expo Global in Brussels

One of China’s leading seafood producing regions has offered to cover the expenses of selected firms interested in exhibiting at the upcoming Seafood Expo Global in Brussels, Belgium.

Liaoning Province stretches to the North Korean border and is home to major seafood processing port hubs including Dalian. With the goal of expanding its seafood export market, the provincial government is offering the chance for locally headquartered seafood firms to apply for funding to cover exhibition and travel costs for the 2018 Seafood Expo Global, taking place from 24 to 26 April.

Eligible firms are entitled to CNY 45,000 (USD 6,930, EUR 5,750) for a booth and CNY 23,000 (USD 3,540, EUR 2,940) in personnel travel costs, according to a document published by the provincial department of commerce.

The province has engaged Beijing-based Great Wall Exhibition Co. to arrange a provincial pavilion for the expo and to offer financial and logistical assistance on travel and visas for local seafood executives.
