Fortune Imports, a subsidiary of Fortune Fish & Gourmet, has found a new president in Jeff Goldberg, a former shrimp sales executive for Mazzetta Company.
Goldberg, who spent nearly 24 years with the Mazzetta team having started there in 1992, began performing in his new role this month, according to his LinkedIn page.
Fortune Fish is looking to expand its capacity as an importer with its new subsidiary and its new import division, which Goldberg has already begun to captain. Fortune Imports will be located at Fortune Fish & Gourmet’s corporate headquarters in Bensenville, IL.
In his role as president, Goldberg “will be…focusing on expanding Fortune’s current direct import program,” said the company. Goldberg will use his experience in strategic sourcing to assure Fortune’s principles for ethical, sustainable, high-quality products are upheld.
An seafood industry veteran of 28 years, Goldberg got his start at Landlock Seafood in Carrollton, Texas, before moving into a logistics and sales position at Mazzetta.
