Gregory Brown named managing director of NSF China

NSF International, a global public health organization, appointed Gregory Brown as managing director of NSF China. Brown is also the global managing director for seafood at NSF. In his new role, Brown will help NFS International grow its testing auditing, certification, training and consulting programs.

The programs serve more than 6,200 international and local businesses and facilities in China within the areas of food safety and quality, seafood and fishmeal, dietary supplements, consumer products and water distribution and treatment products.

Brown will continue to work with NSF Shanghai Co. Ltd joint venture partners and expand business relations with international and local authorities as managing director. Brown is responsible for NSF Shanghai Co., Ltd. and NSF Shanghai Testing Technology Company (NSF’s ISO/IEC-17025 accredited laboratory), which serve as the center of NSF’s China operations.

In addition to expanding the seafood program in China, Brown will grow the food processing and retail auditing, water distribution and treatment, food equipment, consumer products and dietary supplement programs.

“As China continues its commitment to improving public health and the environment, NSF International’s expanding services will support our customers in China by assisting them with their safety, quality, integrity and regulatory compliance goals for international trade export and import,” said Kevan P. Lawlor, NSF International President and Chief Executive Officer.

“Mr. Gregory Brown brings nearly two decades of experience in leading successful organizations in Asia and the U.S., and he is supported by NSF’s global team of leading scientific, technical and public health experts in food, water, dietary supplements and consumer products.”
